An older guy, around my dad's age, early 70s, was talking to the hostess, who was also working as the server slash busser slash dishwasher. After he had paid his check and was on his way out the door the lady said something to him and he turned around and came back in the restaurant and seemed really happy the lady had asked something. He smiled and said his son usually would come with him but he has been having a lot of problems. The guy said he is trying to help his son the best he can but it's been really hard. The lady didn't really know what to say but she smiled back.
After the guy left I wondered what kind of problems his son was having and hoped the guy felt better after being able to talk to someone about it. That's when I realized that there was no music playing in the restaurant. And the food was pretty good. I had one of the dinner specials. It was a lot of food and pretty inexpensive. -

Not bad. Fairly priced.
My favorite was the General Tso's Chicken. I also really enjoyed the shrimp fried rice and Beef/Broccoli. The ribs were pretty terrible, full of cartilage and very dry and sugary. -

Oh wow, I was not expecting the experience I got. Most of the Utah Chinese food that I have had has been cheap and flavorless, with no style, and has been vastly inferior to my Chinese food experiences from growing up in California. That being said, Lotus Garden has captured why it is that my struggling mother working three jobs was such an avid Chinese food fan: the food was incredibly affordable in family portions, and the food itself made you feel like you were eating out fancy. It made us feel less like we were so impoverished, and Lotus Garden has recaptured that feeling for me. All of the food that I had was very good and I would go back again any time. I especially loved the egg drop soup and all of my entrees were spot on to what they should have been. The servers were polite and attentive too, considering that we came in so close to closing. Be sure to check this place out.

This is a quiet place right off Center St. in Provo. It's a little dated in its decor, but that's no reason to turn your nose up at this place. It is clean, the service is good, the people are friendly, and the food is good. My only issue (and I know it's one that I can't hold against the restaurant) is the parking in downtown Provo is awful!

We tried Lotus Garden for the first time tonight. (Door Dash delivery) Our order was delivered quickly (which was great!) and everything was hot. We enjoyed General Tso chicken, cashew chicken, ham fried rice and wantons. Both chicken dishes were tender and delicious! The Tso chicken was not too spicy but so flavorful. The cashew chicken was in a yummy rich broth with crunchy water chestnuts, zucchini and bamboo shoots. The ham fried rice was some of the best we've had in a long time, with lots of scrambled egg, which is how we like it and a bonus! Wantons were good-nothing wrong w/ them-just not over the moon fabulous. An overall great meal!!
We look forward to enjoying LG's food again!
